Analysis on the Quenching Deformation Characteristics of Light Cast Aluminum Alloy Wheels and Their Control Strategies

The purpose of this paper is to develop a new technology for controlling the quenching deformation light cast aluminum alloy wheels. First, based on existing wheel heat treatment process, gas–liquid–solid multi-phase flow coupling model was established through ANSYS Workbench platform analyze gas–liquid phase change, exchange surface and characteristics during process immersion into water. results show that are comprehensively affected by structure, fluid field transition. There lot non-uniform areas in outer rim, spoke area center area, which affect overall characteristics. Affected maximum occurs at inner rim end faces farthest away from wheel. Based above research, independently develops control strategy spray water composite step process. Through spraying, influence structural stiffness effectively reduced, realized meeting mechanical properties wheel, with reduction 39.2%. This study provides option integrated
